During the past few months my PC has suddenly become unable to play any DRM protected Blu-ray content. However, I still would like to get this problem resolved because there are other titles (like the Scorpion King) where PowerDVD just freezes when loading the disc and doesn't play anything. At the present time I have the VGA cable to the monitor and the HDMI cable to the TV from the ATI card. But now its connected with a HDMI but thats not working either. My drive is an LG HD-DVD/BluRay drive so I should be able to play both formats. It will play the first 5 seconds of the BD movie perfectly then this error message. If I can get the BR discs to work on the monitor I was thinking of getting an HDMI switch so I could use the TV without the monitor being techicaly DVDs play just fine.

After wondering about this issue for months, I haven't got a clue what might have caused it.
Right now, your video card is configured to display on both outputs. will that somehow disable encryption and allow playback on PowerDVD? The error I'm getting is code 0122 ("cannot play back the protected content"), and as I run the Blu-ray advisor, in simple mode it says "Fail", and as I view the But thats giving me an error saying that PowerDVD cannot playback protected content (error code 0122). Can you give us some detail on your whole setup?
I did find out that I can bypass that by going through the "scene selection" menu and select chapter 1. I downloaded the BD Advisor program from Cyberlink and it says my graphics card is "Digital with HDCP" What if I install AnyDVD HD?
